Styling and Photography by Alexis Teasdale, The Festive Co.
Well, I’m officially jealous of my baby’s room! I had an absolute ball designing this sweet space, complete with my own 80s toys as the finishing touch.
When I started planning Andie’s very own room, I knew I wanted it painted. We finally owned a home for the first time, so we actually could paint! Why not embrace it!
Her teeeeeny tiny room was a blue when we moved in, so it quickly became the cutest shade of pink (Dulux ‘Nursery’ in Half)
Then I looked for the ‘big’ things like shelving and drawers that looked nice with the cot we’ve used with both boys. A lovely, fluffy rug is always essential and my dad and I found the coolest rocking chair on Gumtree, and we had so much fun picking it up.
But you know me, it’s the little things that I really adore when it comes to styling. Like the tiny little wall decals (which admittedly were VERY tedious to apply), the artwork, changing the drawer handles to vintage ones I found, to sprinkling my very own retro toys around like my Care Bears and Cabbage Patch Kids.
It also wouldn’t be a Teasdale Kids room without some great wall shelving and lots of lovely books.
