Jess’s Disco needed us, we by golly we were there.
When the divine hen stumbled across a fully sequinned, hot pink mini dress, the theme for her hens pretty much set itself: DISCO BABY.
This hen is a mama of two little boys, and most of the fab ladies attending had bubs at home too. This meant, we had to formulate a party plan that would let the mums go as mild or wild as they wanted.
Oooh we knew it could be done.
The night started at a guests house, with a disco themed photo booth, a mexican grazing-feast and make-your-own cocktail bar. With plenty of fun music, it meant guests could wine and dine (or Marg and Mex rather) in comfort and ease, especially considering many were in full-glitz-shimmer-sparkle dress mode.
To add to the fun there was a DIY station with ‘Ballin’ Hoops’ earrings and ‘Throwin’ Major Shade’ sunnies to decorate. Adding a little incentive was a juicy box of goodies for whoever the hen named the winner.
Not to mention the Go Big or Go Home Beauty Bar that was stacked with all sorts of disco glam goodies. This had throwback vibes to the days where you would hang at your BFF’s house and spray each others hair with glitter (that was there too) and it gave the night a retro, girly, giddy feel. Tick!
After a few hours of basically dousing everyone in glitter, it was time for the hen to smash her cake!
The custom, milk and white chocolate creation by @smash_n_grabs was covered in tiny individual choc tiles to make a disco dome of perfection. Inside was a mix of gluten-free lollies making it a perfect dessert to suit everyone. Little lolly bags were on hand for guests to fill up before hopping a bus into the city.
Then it was onto a night of bubbles and dancing at Mary’s Poppin’ possibly the most disco-fab, perfect-tune-playing, sparkle-tastic venue you can imagine. Tick! Tick! Tick!
