ALL THE JURRASIC WORLD FEELS AT THIS FUN FIVE-YEAR-OLD BACKYARD BIRTHDAY! QUIRKY SNACKS, INDIVIDUAL DINO DIG KITS AND A VISIT FROM A REPTILE TEAM MADE IT SUPER MEMORABLE.

 

The weather was perfectly Jurassic Park for Gabe's birthday, with a super wet, hot, sunshiney day. Well, do love a theme!

 

I mixed some plaster into sand and hid little plastic dino skeletons into the tubs, creating cool Dino Dig kits for the kiddos to play with.

 

Some plaster dinosaurs to paint were another hit (how about that colouring-in printed paper from IKEA - perfect to line the table!) and I made a Triceratoss game out of some cones stuck onto a printed design. Easy and cute.

 

We had a visit from a local reptile educators Animals Anonymous (as close as we could get to a dino visit) and the kids loved meeting all the little (and big, hello python) critters.
